We rebuild safe, resilient schools and teach children philanthropy

Through new schools, we are giving hope and opportunities for a better future back to children who have lost it.

We help in areas where education and infrastructure are missing due to natural disasters. Happy Hearts Fund Czech Republic builds safe schools in areas affected by natural disasters. The Foundation was established by Petra Němcová and Karolína Bosáková after their personal experience with the tsunami in 2004. We work in a network of international organisations, with the American foundation All Hands and Hearts being a fundamental partner of Happy Hearts. Thanks to this collaboration, we are able to build a safe school in just six months. Once completed, Happy Hearts schools not only become a place for the community to educate their children, but also a safe haven from other natural disasters. In the countries where we help, rebuilding schools is the best sustainable aid for children and entire communities.

The date of December 26, 2004 changed my life forever, after a difficult experience with the tsunami I started to believe that I could have a positive impact from a small country like the Czech Republic despite all odds. That I can try to help others with a group of amazing people and maybe build a school on the other side of the world. And that I can open another school every year and see the smiles of children for whom my help is a little spark of hope that the rest of the world has not forgotten them.
