“Hope is definitely not the same thing as optimism, it is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out” Václav Havel

Our mission
Happy Hearts Fund rebuilds safe, resilient schools in areas affected by natural disasters. The organization was founded by Petra Němcová and Karolína Bosáková who, after their own experience with natural disasters, decided to help children in affected areas in a long-term and sustainable way. Happy Hearts' partner is the American foundation All Hands and Hearts. To date, we have built 333 schools in 24 countries together. Our schools serve 119,000 children and positively impact 1,300,000 community members. Happy Hearts schools bring hope and long-term support to generations of children and entire communities.
The main goal of Happy Hearts is to rebuild schools, support education and help communities affected by natural disasters. Sustainable aid is what communities need most. That's why we build schools and support education. And it makes sense. The people we help will be able to help themselves in the future through education. They won't be dependent on our continued support.
Through new schools, we bring hope and help generations of children and entire communities. It often takes up to six years for children to return to school after a natural disaster. Thanks to the support of volunteers, friends and partners around the world, we are able to finish school in six months.
Every child has the right to an education, and with your help and support we can create a world where all children can attend safe schools. Together, let's help children live safer, happier and better lives.
We support education in the Czech Republic, in cooperation with Adra and NF Simona Kijonková we publish a methodical magazine Slovíčko for primary school pupils.
Thank you for your support and cooperation in fulfilling our mission to help children around the world to education and a better future.
