Our mission is to rebuild schools after natural disasters – that’s exactly where all donor support goes. We handle every donation with the utmost care and responsibility. Thanks to our partnership with All Hands and Hearts and trusted local partners, we’re able to respond quickly and efficiently. A new school can be built in just six months – safe, resilient, and with a clear goal: to give children back their education and hope.

Our story
The Happy Hearts Foundation was founded by Petra Němcová and Karolína Bosáková following a profound personal experience with the 2004 tsunami in Thailand.
For more than 20 years, we have been dedicated to rebuilding schools and supporting education in communities affected by natural disasters.
We are a long-term and key partner of the American foundation All Hands and Hearts, with whom we collaborate on school projects around the world. Together, we build safe schools and bring hope where it is needed most.

Our mission
We build safe schools in disaster-affected areas around the world.
And we help Czech children embrace philanthropy.
Our mission is to rebuild schools, support education, and provide long-term, sustainable help to communities that have lost everything.
Through new schools, we bring hope, stability, and a fresh start – for generations of children and entire communities.
At the same time, we help Czech students develop a sense of social responsibility and democratic values.
We inspire them to embrace the idea that everyone can make the world a better place – and that helping others is something we all can do.

We help sustainably
A sustainable approach is at the heart of our vision – to build a better future for children and entire communities.
Our projects create long-term impact in the communities we serve. That’s why we always plan school reconstruction with respect for the environment, social equity, and responsible governance.
For us, sustainability also means being accountable to the donors and partners who share our vision of meaningful and lasting support.
We would like to thank Ernst & Young Audit, s.r.o. and the team at Climate Change and Sustainability Services for their support and invaluable help in preparing our strategy.

We help responsibly

Since 2017, we have raised CZK 55 million thanks to the generous support of our donors. These funds have been responsibly allocated to specific school reconstruction projects through our operational partner, All Hands and Hearts.
We have supported 24 projects, helping more than 4,000 children return to safe schools.
We place a long-term emphasis on efficiency, transparency, and responsible financial management.
Together with All Hands and Hearts, we again received the highest 4-star rating from Charity Navigator – the largest independent evaluator of charitable organizations in the United States.
We’re proud to have earned this prestigious recognition for the tenth consecutive year.
